Intervenção psicológica na reabilitação pós-enfarte do miocárdio: um esforço interdisciplinar

Resumo: Este artigo descreve um estudo com o objectivo de investigar alguns indicadores da eficácia diferencial de uma intervenção psicológica multimodal e multidisciplinar (biopsicosocial), e de uma intervenção biomédica na reabilitação cardíaca pós-enfarte do miocárdio. A amostra é constituída por 32 sujeitos de ambos os sexos, utentes de um Serviço de Cardiologia, com idades compreendidas entre 35 e 65 anos. Previa-se uma diferença significativa no grupo biopsicossocial, entre os momentos pré e pós intervenção nas variáveis clínicas e psicossociais estudadas, no sentido de uma diminuição nos valores de ansiedade, depressão e hostilidade e de um aumento nos comportamentos promotores da saúde, não se verificando o mesmo no grupo biomédico. Os resultados apontam para alterações positivas no grupo submetido à intervenção psicológica nas variáveis consideradas com a reabilitação pós enfarte do miocárdio. A discussão e apreciação crítica dos resultados é efectuada com base no quadro teórico de referência.

Psychological intervention in there habilitation post acute myocardial infarction: an interdisciplinary attempt

Abstract: This paper describes a study which aims at investigating some indicators of the differential efficacy of a multimodal biopsychosocial intervention and biomedical intervention in the rehabilitation of the post acute myocardial infarction. The sample is composed of 32 patients of both sexes, aged 35-65, being seen at cardiology unit of a central hospital. A significant difference was predicted between the pre and post intervention moments in the medical and psychosocial variables studied for the biopsycosocial group but not for the biomedical group, in the direction of a decrease in the indicators of anxiety, depression and hostility and a increase in healthy behaviours. The result point to positive changes in the byopsichosocial group in various aspects related to the post acute myocardial infarction rehabilitation. The discussion and critical analysis of the results is carried out according to the theoretical frame of reference.
