Cooperación y competición en equipos deportivos

Un estudio preliminar

ALEXANDRE GARCIA-MAS (*)

ABSTRACT

In this study we present a preliminary approach to the construct of cooperation, that means the level of physical and sportive effort performed by one athlete, according the concordonce between his personal objectives and those form their coach and co-players. We have designed the Sportive Cooperation Questionnaire, and we applied it to a population of 98 team players, with different ages and play level.

The results shown a clear division between three types of players: ccoperatives, no-coperatives, and followers, and in distinct proportions in each team; the results shown also that the goal cooperation is formed by the composition of the situational cooperation (in and out the game field), and the dispositional cooperation (with the coach or with the rest of the players). We discuss these results in order to the theory of the cooperation and we proposed several aplications and interventions.
