Tendências da investigação na psicologia do desporto, exercício e actividade física

RESUMO

O objectivo deste artigo é fornecer uma breve panorâmica sobre a investigação na psicologia do desporto, exercício e actividade física. Abordaram-se, numa perspectiva essencialmente histórica, os principais paradigmas e linhas de investigação na área.

Subjacente está a progressiva diferenciação entre a psicologia do desporto e a psicologia do exercício, pelo que se procura definir o que as distingue e apresentar separadamente os respectivos temas de investigação mais frequentes na literatura empírica actual.

Palavras-chave: Tendências de investigação, desporto, exercício.

 

 

ABSTRACT

This paper's main goal is to draw a brief review over physical activity, exercise and sports psychology research. An historical perspective will sustain an overlook through the most relevant paradigms and research guidelines. The progressive differentiation between sports and exercise psychology is the underline subject that will be analysed through the definition of its distinguishing elements and by the separate reference of its main research issues in recent empirical literature.
