Manuscritos em publicação

 

O aumento da visibilidade e a melhoria da posição da Finisterra nos rankings internacionais associam-se a um conjunto de mudanças muito relevantes, como a definição de um código de ética, o ajustamento nas normas, a utilização de software de deteção-plágio, a interface de submissão mais acessível na plataforma Repositórios Científicos de Acesso Aberto de Portugal (RCAAP).

Com o aumento considerável de submiss ões de trabalhos originais e procurando reduzir o tempo entre a aceitação de artigos e a sua efetiva publicação, a Finisterra, a partir de 2019, passará a publicar os manuscritos de forma provisória (manuscrito em publicação) em formato Ahead of Print, gerando um maior compromisso entre a revista e todos/as investigadores/as que a ela confiam a sua investiga ção.

O Ahead of Print corresponde a um arquivo em formato PDF de um manuscrito ainda não editado, mas aceite para publicação (manuscrito em publica ção) disponível no sítio internet da Finisterra. Estão aceites e revistos por pares, mas ainda não foram atribuídos a volumes/edições, todavia são citá veis usando o DOI. Estes manuscritos serão submetidos a edição de texto, formatação e revisão de prova antes de serem publicados na sua forma final. Durante o processo de produ ção podem ser encontrados alguns erros que afetam o conteúdo, que serão corrigidos na medida do possível e respeitando princípios éticos e legais da publicação cient ífica.

Quando cada manuscrito "em publicação" é atribuído finalmente a um volume, a versão Ahead of Print será removida da plataforma e a sua vers ão final aparecerá nos volumes/edições publicadas no sítio internet da revista.

Embora os manuscritos em publicação ainda não tenham todos os detalhes bibliográ ficos disponíveis, já podem ser citados usando o ano da publicação online e o DOI: autoria, título, publicação (ano), DOI.

 

Ahead of Print (AoP)

The increase in visibility and improvement of Finisterra position in the international rankings are associated with a series of relevant changes, such as the definition of a code of ethics, adjustments in standards, the use of detection - plagiarism, the most accessible submission interface on the RCAAP platform.

With the considerable increase of submissions of original works and seeking to reduce the time between the acceptance of articles and their effective publication, from 2019, Finisterra will begin to publish the manuscripts in a provisional form (manuscript in publication) in format Ahead of Print, engendering a better commitment between the journal and all researchers entrusted with its investigation.

The Ahead of Print corresponds to a PDF file of a manuscript not yet published but accepted for publication (manuscript in publication) available on the Finisterra website. They are accepted and peer-reviewed, but have not yet been assigned to volumes/issues, however they can be quoted using DOI. These manuscripts will be submitted to text editing, formatting and proofreading before being published in their final form. During the production process some errors can be found that affect the content, which will be corrected as far as possible and respecting the ethical and legal principles of scientific publication.

When each "in-publication" manuscript is finally assigned to a volume, the Ahead of Print version will be removed from the platform and its final version will appear in the published volumes / editions of the journal’s website.

Although the manuscripts in publication do not have all the bibliographic details available, they can already be cited using the year of publication online and the DOI: authorship, title, publication (year), DOI.
