Abstract

Considered as one of the most freest countries to exercise journalism, according to the latest analysis of the International Organization Reporters Sans Frontieres (RSF), Portugal ranks 12th in the World Press Freedom Ranking while Brazil ranks 105th, being considered a country of difficult occupation, just as it has a media responsible for severe violations of Human Rights. Adopting a deductive approach methodology, sought to structure what was media power, from an analysis of the Media Rights Violations Monitoring Guide, then enter the discussions of human right violations, especially the rights of children and adolescents, this work was developed with the objective the debate about media violations and reach the coverage of violent topics on time available to children and adolescents in Brazil and Portugal.
