Firstly, we have alluded briefly to the nature and applicable legal regime of public association of the Portuguese legal system, especially following the recent Law No.2/2013,10^th January, that established as of mandatory nature and parametric value, in view of the Statue of corporations, the legal regime that regulates the organization and operation of public associations already established or in the legislative process of creating, standardizing applicable national and Community legislation. In the same sense, we propose to critically analyze the vast praetorian jurisprudence of Court of Justice of the European Union, with specific focus on the famous Wouters judgment, superiorly responsible for the need for reconsideration of the legal nature of professional bodies. Finally, we held an exhibition on the legal qualification of professional associations in national and community contexts, highlighting the main concerns that must get involved in the near future.
