Abstract

This article investigates the importance of tourism information and the need to construct a network of tourism organizations in the region of Serra da Estrela through a technology-based platform, which will be developed by a destiny management company (dmc). The dmc project Turismo Serra da Estrela intends to establish itself as a technology platform to work for the tourism community, aiming at a better organization and efficient operation on the network, sharing knowledge and experience relevant to the regional level, creating added value for the recognition of the importance of networks in tourism in this region. We also investigate about the usability and interest of tourist information available online in order to achieve integrated management of tourism destinations and usefulness of networks and partnerships in the field of Tourism.
