Abstract

DUARTE, Pedro  and  MOREIRA, Ana Isabel. Which teacher researcher?: for a (possible) answer, analysis of internship reports from future teachers. Invest. Práticas [online]. 2020, vol.10, n.1, pp.78-98. ISSN 2182-1372.  https://doi.org/10.25757/invep.v10i1.204.

Starting from the premise which suggests that a teacher is also a researcher, this article intends to exploit such ‘professional facet' through the experience of a few students attending a professional master's degree in teaching. For such, and resorting to the computer program MAXQDA 2018, we analyzed the content of 25 internship reports from randomly selected students of the Master in Preschool Education and Teaching of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education, noting various elements such as the researched educational themes, the motivation subjacent to the researches or the concertation between the methodological assumptions and the defined investigation goals. In the end, two or three considerations arose: those future teachers, besides experiencing an elementary moment for the development of their investigative literacy, recognizing the several dimensions inherent to the process, are not always capable of discerning the investigative practice from the pedagogical practice or yet, different investigation methods.

Keywords : investigative literacy; initial formation of teachers; pedagogical practice.
