VIEIRA, Hermany Rosa  and  CIASCA, Maria Isabel Filgueiras Lima. Contributions of Cooperative Learning in the academic and human development of undergraduate students at the Federal University of Ceará. Invest. Práticas [online]. 2019, vol.9, n.1, pp.114-128. The Cooperative Learning Program in Student Cells - PACCE is a project of the Federal University of Ceará - UFC and started its activities in 2009, following a successful program called the Student's Heart Educational Project - PRECE, which adopts cooperative learning and solidarity as foundations. This study aims to evaluate the activities developed by PACCE that involve undergraduate students, which aims to contribute to their autonomy and student protagonism through Cooperative Learning (CL). At PACCE, the this methodology is used outside the classroom. The Program takes as theoretical foundation the ideas of Johnson and Johnson and their colaborators (1999), which define CL by using five pillars: positive interdependence, individual responsibility, social skills, face-to-face interactions and group processing. Students are challenged to articulate a study cell using CL as a methodology. To be successful, they receive training in CL, support for the articulation of their cells, they participate in ludic group activities and group meeting in which they may share life stories. Such activities are facilitated by veteran students. This research focused on evaluating the activities developed by the students and their relationships with colleagues at the University. Quantitative and qualitative aspects were considered. The results point to student's reports of an experience that promotes the creation of strong ties of friendship, greater feel of belonging to the University and better academic achievements
