Abstract

This article aims to introduce the work and bibliographic production of José Eduardo Moreirinhas Pinheiro, former professor of Escola do Magistério Primário de Lisboa, the current Escola Superior de Educação de Lisboa. Author of a large number of articles published in specialty journals and contributor to several newspapers, Moreirinhas Pinheiro has published over twenty books devoted to pedagogy and history of education, a written production that is obligatory reference for scholars of these areas. The article is divided into three parts: i) biography; ii) scientific production: from pedagogy to history of teacher training; and, iii) a list of its scientific production.
