The text contextualizes and reflects about some productions of the contemporary artist Sônia Gomes(1948), from Minas Gerais (Brazil), making visible the historical thickness that impregnates objects, adding stories to their own, and characterizing the complexity of a social fabric. Through her works, she provokes reflections on human corporeities in their daily processes of construction and deconstruction, proposing new life cycles for individuals and their memories, objects and their transcendence.
