Abstract

SANTOS, Luísa. Petrit Halilaj, Poisoned by men in need of some love: An exhibition of stories telling the History of a country. Estúdio [online]. 2013, vol.4, n.8, pp.298-309. ISSN 1647-6158.

How can an exhibition or an artwork be social and political? In the 1970s, Joseph Beuys coined the term social sculpture, which proclaimed that spectators would become the catalists for social transformation. This paper intends to discover the artistic preocupations towards society through the work of Petrit Halilaj in his most recent exhibition.

Keywords : Petrit Halilaj; social critique; politics; relational art; narrative.
