The paper investigates the Oriana Duarte's series Plus Ultra, that began in mid-2006 and continues to this day, in which the artist embarks on journeys in paddling long distances in rivers and bays of Brazilian cities, video recording each experiment. The text approaches this operation to the phenomenology of Merleau-Ponty and Heidegger, taking it as a poetics of living and seeing and as political metaphor of an integral acting in the world.
