In different ways, the video art and photography of Sarah Jones, Gregory Crewdson and Eija-Liisa Ahtila all examine the subject of home. Their stage setting and use of theatrical elements create fictional narratives, often characterized by a heightened sense of the unreal or fantastic, which illustrate the conflicts inherent in domestic environments and the effects of living and growing in such an arena.
