This article contextualizes the exhibition of drawings entitled "Sketchbook of Shadows", made by Jaime Silva, in January 2011, in the National Society of Fine Arts. Shadow is the keyword, par excellence, who directs the expression in this drawing and suggests something that we saved and that we want to communicate. In this context, I do an association with the psychoanalytic concept of shadow and develop an approach based on this area of knowledge.
