Abstract

INTRODUCTION: depression includes changes to cognitive, mood, psychomotor and vegetative. OBJECTIVE: to analyze activities performed by women diagnosed with depression, attended in a Psychosocial Care Center-CAPS in the Northwest region of Rio Grande do Sul, on the basis of treatment plans established by the multidisciplinary team. METHODS: quantitative and documentary. Project approved by the Ethics Committee, Opinion 033/2012. Collected data from 196 women: age, marital status, duration of treatment, hospitalization, early symptoms, activities, and therapeutic plan. Data analysis was done recurring to descriptive statistics. RESULTS: 51.6%, 40-60 years, married, 48.3% in treatment 1-5 years, 67.3% never admitted, first symptoms 30-50 years of age. Women participate in activities with a psychologist, social worker, nurse, crafts and music; 81.7% two to three activities, modalities in semi-intensive and not intensive. CONCLUSION: studies of the demographic profile of patients with depression are important to qualify the care and, like subsidies to the construction of public policies.
