Resumen

LUIS, Carlos; ROCHA, Álvaro  y  MARCELINO, Maria José. Acessibilidade em Ambientes Virtuais de Aprendizagem: Accessibility in Virtual Learning Environments. RISTI [online]. 2017, n.25, pp.54-65. ISSN 1646-9895.  https://doi.org/10.17013/risti.25.54-65.

Technological revolutions and the widespread use of Information and Communications Technologies have stimulated the creation of virtual learning environments complementary to the teaching/learning process. The main objective of this paper is to identify, analyse and describe existing methods to improve the accessibility of virtual learning environments. To achieve this goal, a systematic review of the literature on accessibility and virtual learning environments was carried out, between 2010 and 2016, using diverse databases of scientific publications. The combination of various methods based on standards and norms is critical to support personalized teaching/learning services. On the other hand, Universal Design for Learning and the Universal Design of Instruction provide a set of principles and strategies that seek to reduce barriers and create facilitating models of teaching / learning for this purpose. Also, the integration of inclusive pedagogical practices with adequate technological resources allows the creation of accessible virtual learning environments
