These paper intends to make a reflection on the identification and characterization of relations between business strategies and some development practices (training and careers management) for highly qualified professionals in automotive parts industry companies. The research method used was the survey. The study covers 72 companies. Results suggest that the development management practices for highly qualified professionals present differentiations according to business strategies in the automotive parts industry companies. We conclude that the automotive parts industry companies, when possessing different business strategies, also possess different forms to praise these same strategies, which support and are supported by some different development management practices, namely to the training and careers management.
