During a primary hip arthroplasty for coxarthrosis treatment we may need to use bone graft as a complementary measure. For this, bone autografts from the excised femoral head obtained in a diversity of forms, dimensions and types, find their best indication. We describe a simple and effective technique for obtaining granular bone autograft from the degenerated femoral head during a primary hip arthroplasty.
