Dupuytren's disease, first described hundreds of years ago, continues to be a protagonist in a constant knowledge evolution. This is a fibroproliferative pathology of the hand, potentially progressive and disabling of clear genetic predisposition. New insights have emerged within the anatomy and pathophysiology, with implications for its treatment. Several treatment strategies have been proposed in recent years as many have been the studies that tried to evaluate them. It was performed a search on pubmed / medline with the words "Dupuytren's disease", especially selecting articles published in the last 5 years, including original and review articles, aiming to bring together the latest knowledge in the various dimensions of the disease and seeking to clarify the role of various treatment methods available today.
