MEIRA, Edgar et al. Tratamento artroscópico da luxação acromioclavicular aguda: Revisão dos 13 primeiros casos. Rev. Port. Ortop. Traum. [online]. 2012, vol.20, n.4, pp.415-423. ISSN 1646-2122.

Purpose: to analyze the functional result after arthroscopic stabilization of acute acromioclavicular dislocations with the TightRope technique. Materials and methods: A retrospective evaluation of the patients treated with this method between April 2009 and December 2010 was conducted. Thirteen patients met the inclusion criteria, seven were available to follow-up. Mean follow-up was 21 months (range: 6-31 months). The patients were clinically evaluated with the Constant Score and the Subjective Shoulder Value. It was performed a bilateral radiological assessment of the acromioclavicular joint to document implant position, subluxation or dislocation. The surgical complications were analyzed. Results: one redislocation occurred after new trauma and a clinically stable subluxation was present in one patient. Radiologically, none of the patients showed subluxation in the horizontal plane. The mean Constant score was 94 (range: 87-100 ) and the mean Subjective Shoulder Value was 91 (range: 90-95). There were two cases of adhesive capsulitis that resolved after conservative treatment at 6 months after surgery.  Conclusion: the treatment of acromioclavicular dislocations with the TightRope system is a totally arthroscopic procedure, with a low rate of complications, easy to execute, without the need for implant removal and with good functional and cosmetic results.
