The objective of the present study was to evaluate the effects of physical activity in elderly with a history of cancer. This is a descriptive, exploratory study with a quantitative approach, composed of 20 elderly people with a history of cancer. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire. The data tabulated in Microsoft Office Excel 2013. Approved by the Research Ethics Committee (CEP) of the Center University Estacio of Ceara, opinion number. 1,525,643. The population had a higher prevalence of breast cancer with 18 (90%), cervix 1 (5%) and prostate cancer 1 (5%). The physical activity time of participants from 1 to 6 months was 2 (20%), 1.5 years to 2 years 11 (55%), over 2 years 5 (25%). A physical activity frequency (days) between 1 to 4 days (20%), 3 to 8 days (40%), 4 to 4 (20%) and 5 to 4 (20%). The population reaffirms the improvement of health, as 20 (100%) with systemic representations. The practice of activity causes maintenance of autonomy and functionality in the elderly with cancer, in which their practice of the activity has positive impacts.
