Abstract

PINTO, Júlio Miguel Cabral da Costa. Contributos para a concepção de interfaces na web: o utilizador no centro de uma constelação. Tékhne [online]. 2008, n.9, pp.370-382. ISSN 1645-9911.

The principles that should guide interface conception on the web branch out into a whole constellation of different factors. From among these, a particular attention will be focused on the user as the main concern in interface design. The user should focus on communicating rather than on the technological devices: the best interface is that which presence is not felt. However, the understanding of the interface can never be isolated from the remainder of interactive human behavior. Thus, it is relevant to know the user as interfaces are not a neutral field for automatic human action. Thence, the correct conception of an interface renders the interaction of the user with the portal intuitive and friendly, bringing the user closer to the product. A well structured interface facilitates operations and provides confidence to the user, affording the portal a greater credibility.
