Populism is on the agenda. This article gives an overview of the conceptual discussions about the phenomenon as well as its consequences to democratic theory and practice. The article concludes with a discussion of the contemporary radical right, its populist nature, and the impact of the theme of anti-immigration on its rise in Europe.
