This article aims at assess the geopolitical vectors that characterize the Portuguese sea, and how Portuguese interests could be damaged by the creation of an “European sea”. This implies that it needs to share resources and space. The sea is one of the greatest Portuguese assets and Portugal is trying to extend its continental platform. In this context it should strengths its foreign network and tries to benefit from its Atlantic vocation and establish itself as a leader of the lusophone world.
