Abstract

SWIATKIEWICZ, Olgierd. Effciency limits of the use of ethics & CSR as corporate strategy. Rev. Portuguesa e Brasileira de Gestão [online]. 2009, vol.8, n.4, pp.2-9. ISSN 1645-4464.

There is a general trend, reinforced by institutional, public and competitors pressure, to include ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) into a corporate strategy, sometimes without any preoccupation with risks and threats it can have to the business bottom line. By reviewing the literature, we draw praxiological limits (submitted to criteria of efficiency and efficacy) for including of ethics and CSR into a corporate strategy. At the end, we come back to the axiological aspects of these matters, emphasising a practical sense of the golden mean.

Keywords : Corporate Social Responsibility/CSR; Praxiological Limits; Corporate Strategy; Golden Mean.
