Abstract

FERNANDES, António. Organizational effectiveness assessment methodology for Higher Education. Rev. Portuguesa e Brasileira de Gestão [online]. 2008, vol.7, n.1, pp.77-87. ISSN 1645-4464.

The organizational effectiveness assessment methodology for Higher Education that was proposed by Cameron (1978) is the central theme of this text. The theoretical framework of the theme reveals the inexistence of consensus about the concept. For that reason, the study of this variable in a specific context involves the use of a 63 indicators that allow the evaluation of nine effectiveness criteria and can be grouped in three domains, namely the academicals domain, the external adaptation domain and the moral domain.

Keywords : Organizational Effectiveness; Higher Education; Academicals Domain; External Adaptation Domain; Moral Domain; Competitive Values Model.
