Bibliographic opinion-based revision of seventeen articles published between 2005 and 2014, identified in databases, having the aim of analyzing the tendency of Brazilian academic production for the use of drugs in adolescence. We identified that qualitative researches conducted in schools and theoretical studies produced and published by Psychology and Health professionals and journals. From the analytical reading were built interpretive axes, whose results to be highlighted are: 1 - the family as a protective factor, regardless match the regulated standard, but since space is constituted of affection and support; 2 - to work can expose drug use and leisure can be a protective factor, depending on the conditions; 3 - teenagers recognize that do not have efficient information on the drugs. It identifies the importance of interdisciplinary research that attempt to socio-political factors, drug use in adolescence suggests is strongly permeated by the actions and omissions of public policy.
