Abstract

He objective of the research was to carry out a lexical survey of themes published in scientific articles between the years of 2009 and 2014 on Alzheimer's disease. Was held review of scientific articles in the database SciELO / Brazil from January 2009 to June 2014, using the term Alzheimer's disease. The bibliographic recovery resulted in 173 articles, of which 98 met the inclusion criteria, with a large number of articles published in medical and health sciences areas. The material was submitted to the IRAMUTEQ software. The results showed that the most discussed topics were: diagnosis, disease progression and care. Even be considered by the variety of studies in different fields of knowledge about Alzheimer's disease, there is a need for interdisciplinary studies considering the importance of prevention, assessment and intervention, contributing to the understanding of the specific nature of this pathology. It is suggested research that are connected to the humanities such as sociology, philosophy, social sciences, history and education.
