Abstract

This research aims to indentify coping strategies, level of stress, subjective well-being and resilience process in patients with cancer going through radiotherapy treatment. The participants were 60 patients, aged between 26 and 82 years old (M=52, 52, DP=13, 25), 66.70% of them were women and 33, 3% were men. It was used the scales of Subjective Well-Being, the Resilience Inventory, The Stress Symptoms Inventory and the Coping Response Inventory - Adult Form (CRI-A). The results described high indices of psychological stress, high punctuation on innovation and tenacity resilience type, positive affect type of subject well-being and problem focused coping. Among the six factors of resilience, innovation and tenacity and satisfaction at work are related to positive affect and the use of problem solve coping. The discussed data were based on psycho-oncology studies.
