This study had the purpose to investigate how exercise could affect one’s satisfaction in one’s life.  The study concerned a sample of 219 adolescents, in which 109 were male and 110 were female (n=219), with ages ranging from twelve to seventeen.  The average verified age was 14.42 years.  The instrument used as a variable for "life satisfaction" was the Satisfaction with Life Scale(SWLS) of  Diener, Emmons, Larsen, e Griffin (1985), translated and adjust by Neto (1990, 1993), and as a variable in "exercises" was the Scale of moderate and vigorous Physical Activity of Prochaska, Sallis e Long (2001). The results demonstrated that the individuals that exercise demonstrated higher levels of satisfaction in life than those who didn’t exercise.  It also provided evidence that the males demonstrated higher levels of participation in exercises and life satisfaction in relation to the females.
