For that reason it was evaluated the repercussions of the digestive cancer in levels of depression (BDI: Beck Depression Inventory), quality of life (EORTC QLQ C30: Questionnaire of European Organization of Research and Treatment of Cancer) and anxiety (STAI: State/Trait Anxiety Inventory) before changes due to the treatment take place. It was compared two groups of patients, the first one was composed for 28 subjects diagnosed with digestive cancer and known by them and the second one was composed for 28 subjects with digestive cancer but diagnosed with an alternative digestive pathology. The results show that to know the diagnosis of digestive cancer in the very first moment of the illness only affect to the level of depression.
