Abstract

This article has the primary goal the presentation of the psychological reactions of HIV positive and AIDS through the identification of the main themes of the disease. It ill be presented seven main themes: Who to reveal the condition of being HIV positive; Discrimination; Dependency/loss of autonomy; Sexuality; Medical care; Plans for the future and Confrontation with death. These themes allow un approach more comprehensive when we considered the assessement of the adaptation of each HIV positive/patient with AIDS.
