In this essay several travel texts by Vita Sackville-West and Annemarie Schwarzenbach to the Middle East during the 20s and the 30s will be analized, having in account the respective individual and collective contexts. Tools from geocritical theories, among others, will be used, both in the production and the reception moments. Space in texts only exists in itself as a consequence of a complex process, both in the writing and reading processesdealing with rational and emotional aspects and conditions of personal memory and fictionalizing processes.
