Abstract

VAQUINHAS, Irene. History of women and gender in Portugal from the beginning of the 21st century: Research lines and historiographical impact. Faces de Eva. Estudos sobre a Mulher [online]. 2019, n.Extra, pp.37-55. ISSN 0874-6885.

This article focuses on the development of women and gender studies in Portugal, from the beginning of the 21st century onwards, until the present moment. It also identifies their contribution to recent historiography and to the renovation of historical science. Considering as analysis element all the research produced since the year 2000, gathered mostly from the databases and scientific repositories of both universities and other sources, we show the several lines of research, their epistemological presuppositions, and we refer explored and/or undergoing thematic areas.
