Abstract

OLIVEIRA, Cláudia de. Laces and ties: fashion, identity and gender in the carioca illustrated press (1900-1914). Faces de Eva. Estudos sobre a Mulher [online]. 2019, n.41, pp.87-106. ISSN 0874-6885.

From the illustrated magazines of the beginning of the 20th century in Rio deJaneiro, we will analyze how the press represented the relationship between clothing and the behavior of women who sought to enter the labor market.
