Abstract

Considering Natália Correia, it is difficult to put in different sides the writer and her role of a «causes defender», that in a diversity of levels influenced deeply Portuguese cultural life during the second half of the 20th century. Born at Azores islands, she assumed early this condition, but always with the major concern of integration at the sets of a comprehensive national contexts. We can find in her work a whole of issues, themes and concerns related with cultural, political and identity spirituality rooted in her native Island, a printing of her tremendous production. This article intends to present and reveal some not known, or not well known, significant episodes and moments of her life story.
