Mediational role of attachment to parents:The present study aims to analyze the influence of the adverse childhood experiences in the development of purpose in life in adulthood, studying the mediational role of attachment to parents. The sample was composed by 511 adults, with ages ranging from 25 to 50 years. For data collection we used self-report questionnaires. The results suggest a negative predictor effect of adverse childhood experiences on the purpose in life in adults. The quality of the attachment to parents has a mediational role in the association between adverse childhood experience and purpose in life in adulthood.
