Abstract

POESCHL, Gabrielle. Anchoring process and social représentations of intelligence. Psicologia [online]. 1998, vol.12, n.1, pp.85-100. ISSN 0874-2049.  https://doi.org/10.17575/rpsicol.v12i1.574.

The presente studies aim to illustrate the dynamics of social représentations. In varying the contexts in which the concept of intelligence is evoked, we attempt to show that different conununication settings lead to the formation of different représentations of intelligence. Moreover, our results suggest that the représentations which are formed in social comparison situations are anchored both in the thought system of the group with which individuais indentify, and in the dimensions perceived as relevant to intergroup differentiation.

Keywords : intelligence; ancrage; représentations sociales.
