The sample included 70 young people with human immunodeficiency virus registered in an outpatient center for prevention and care of AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases. A confidence level of 95% was used. Results: We found that 100% of young people had drink alcohol at some point in their life, with a harmful consumption of 95.7%. Similarly, 81.4% of young people had smoked at some point in their life, with a predominance of experimental smokers (50%).
