This article focuses on the relationship among young people from different social classes and life’s styles, reaching a field of study which represents the Brazilian urban anthropology. Beginning with emotional involvement stories between middle class young women and young men living in slums, - drugs traffickers or not -, made public and labeled by the press as “bandit love”, I have engaged in a diversified field work, which the itinerary was imposed by the search of the “trusty girlfriends”. With the purpose of understanding the logic implied by these stories, which show different pictures of the difference between social classes, the focus of the present article is the interviews with young people who lived this kind of experience, as well as with their families.
