Some of the work that has been produced in the artistic field since the 1950s emerges as a reaction to the diverse representations of identity present in the media. The different forms of artistic configuration regarding these technological representations permit us to indicate their code systems and even to obtain some of the contra-cultural reactions from the social context. The arrangement of the signs presented in a work of art, together with the linguistic and philosophical lines of thinking, allows various effective sociological readings of the representation systems of cultural identity; simultaneously, they highlight their intimate relationship with the ideologies inherent in the products.
