The purpose of the text presented is to seek to understand the new associative phenomena, through the dominant theoretical proposals regarding the new social movements (NSM). Although this objective is directed towards examples of collective action in Portugal, it does not exclude the globalization processes implicated in these dynamics and associative activities.
