Abstract
NICODEMOS, Julio Cesar and FERRO, Lígia. Between ethongraphic and psychanalytical ways of doing: thoughts on “listening” homeless population in the cima de vila street, city of Porto. Sociologia [online]. 2018, n.tematico8, pp.92-115. ISSN 0872-3419. https://doi.org/10.21747/08723419/soctem2018a5.
The text focuses the possible implications of articulating the ethnographic methodology and the research methodology applied in the psychanalytical approach for the comprehension of urban territories where individuals presenting abusive uses of alcohol and other drugs are present. For this theoretical-practical construction, the experiences of the authors in the field of psychosocial care of drug users in Brazil and in the field of ethnography in this type of territories in Portugal were considered for thought. One of the main conclusions of this work relies in the fact that the articulation of these methodologies allows a broader and profounder comprehension of these territorial contexts, considering simultaneously collective and individual problems.
Keywords : psychanalysis; urban ethnography; urban territories.
