Abstract
FERREIRA, Nuno. Autonomy, authority and trust in a time of new ICTs: different attitudes and practices among secondary school students. Sociologia [online]. 2014, vol.27, pp.111-141. ISSN 0872-3419.
The relationship between the classroom and the juvenile environments outside the school is analyzed in this paper taking into account some apparently disparate elements in the everyday life of young students. The impact of new ICTs in social processes requires a different insight to youth cultures and capitalize some of these elements to enrich an analysis of the changes in the pedagogical relationship, given the permeability of school concerning those rapid transformations. Thus, we pro- pose the construction of a typology of actors according to the different arrangements of autonomy, relationship with rules and authority, closeness to the teacher and the new informational practices of the students surveyed, allowing an articulated understanding of social processes that shape new challenges for the contemporary school
