Abstract

QUEROL, Lorena Sancho. Towards a museological grammar of recognition: Ideas and concepts about participatory inventory. Sociologia [online]. 2013, vol.25, pp.165-188. ISSN 0872-3419.

A theoretical reflection is herein exposed, enshrined in the field of Social Museology and its concept of Museum as a social phenomenon, and taking as a starting point the challenges that come with the new Heritage paradigm proposed by UNESCO in 2003, in which a series of concepts for the museological practice of the safeguard of the assets that conform our cultural diversity are defined. These assets, due to their intrinsic value for the definition of the sociocultural identities, can be subjected to heritagisation through the museum. This way, the inventory becomes an exercise of collective construction of significances and senses.

Keywords : Social Museology; Heritagisation; Participatory inventory; Intangible Cultural Heritage.
