Abstract

LOPES, Isabel et al. Congenital Muscular Torticollis. Arq Med [online]. 2009, vol.23, n.1, pp.7-9. ISSN 2183-2447.

Congenital muscular torticollis is the third most common cause of musculo-skeletal congenital anomaly. The early diagnosis and treatment as well as the active participation of parents are very important to the success of treatment. The authors present a case of congenital muscular torticollis whose initial presentation was a cervical left swelling with significant limitation of cervical range of motion, which resolved with conservative treatment. They also review the pathogenesis, classification, diagnostic approach and treatment.
