Resumen

MARTINS, Wesley Alves et al. Phenology and thermal requirement of blackberry Tupy cv.. Rev. de Ciências Agrárias [online]. 2019, vol.42, n.3, pp.141-150. ISSN 0871-018X.  https://doi.org/10.19084/rca.17529.

The present work aimed to observe the phenology, thermal requirement and growth of blackberry fruits, “Tupy” cv. cultivated in Dourados - MS - BRASIL. Experimental design was randomized blocks, in sub-divided plot scheme, with three pruning dates in winter and three training systems. Phenological evaluations were done according to described stages of development, from flower bud to totally black fruit, that is, from beginning of flowering to the end of harvest. Number of days between phenological phases (pruning to harvest) was observed. 50 flower buds with the same size were labelled, from different plants andat every two days, evaluations of length and diameter were done since flower buds to ripe berry. Based on data, it was concluded that: the climate of the region is suitable for cultivation, without plant growth regulators. There is a variation in phenological stages of blackberry from one year to another due to climate variations. With high temperatures there is decrease of thermal requirement in degree-days of blackberry in the region. Fruits had a double sigmoid growth curve and growth speed was almost uniform.

Palabras clave : phenological stages; thermal requirement; fruit maturation; degree-days.
