Abstract

MORETO, Alexsander L. et al. Genotypic performance of cassava using mixed model in Santa Catarina, Brazil. Rev. de Ciências Agrárias [online]. 2017, vol.40, n.4, pp.160-169. ISSN 0871-018X.  https://doi.org/10.19084/RCA17083.

The present work aimed to study via mixed models, the performance of cassava genotypes in the state of Santa Catarina. The experiments were conducted for two consecutive seasons (2010/11 and 2011 /12) in six locations in cassava producers of three regions of the state. Twelve cassava genotypes for industry were evaluated in a randomized block design with three replications. The plots were composed of 30 plants arranged in six rows of five plants with useful area equivalent to the twelve central plants. Productivity of roots at each experiment and the average of all places, stability (MHVG), adaptability (PRVG) and both stability and adaptability (MHPRVG) were evaluated. The cassava clones 269, 849 and 422 stood out among the genotype, being considered promising for cultivation in Santa Catarina. The mixed model methodology is a good tool for evaluating the performance of cassava genotypes in advanced stages of selection.
