Abstract

BARRANQUEIRO, Hitalo Ribas  and  DALCHIAVON, Flávio Carlos. Nitrogen application on soybean. Rev. de Ciências Agrárias [online]. 2017, vol.40, n.1, pp.196-204. ISSN 0871-018X.  https://doi.org/10.19084/RCA16030.

The effect of supplemental nitrogen application on soybean yield was evaluated at Campo Novo do Parecis-MT. An experimental design with randomized blocks with nine treatments and four replications was used: T1 - without inoculants and without nitrogen fertilizers; T2 - Only nitrogen fertilizer on the standard dosage (SD); T3 - Only the inoculants; T4 - Inoculants + SD at the base; T5 - Inoculants + SD during R1; T6 - Inoculants + SD during R2; T7 - Inoculants + SD during R3; T8 - Inoculants + SD during R4; T9 - Inoculants + SD during R5. In the variables: plant height; number of soybeans per plant; number of soybeans per pod; total mass of one thousand soybeans and; soybean productivity, it was found that the nitrogen addition influences the plant response, in the corresponding periods of each treatment, especially for additions in R4 and R5. It can be said that the late nitrogen fertilization in supplement form enables productivity gains.

Keywords : Glycine max L; nitrogen biological fixation; nitrogen supplementation.
